Freedom from Torture

Alison Wetherfield served on Freedom from Torture's Board of Trustees as Chair from 2008 until her untimely death in 2012. She was a warm and caring leader whose intellect and skills as a brilliant lawyer equipped her to steer the organisation with skill and compassion. She was determined to ensure that Freedom from Torture is fit for purpose but also wholly survivor-orientated. She was a warm and caring person who was deeply mourned by her family and great missed by all at Freedom from Torture
